This report captures insights from a pilot study conducted by Palakiya Foundation in partnership with EarthOn Foundation to evaluate the grassroots impact of Ekta AI—India’s first multilingual AI farming assistant. The pilot, held in Bodhgaya (Bihar) and Gumla (Jharkhand), involved 71 farmers and assessed the tool’s usability, accessibility, and relevance. The study highlights the promise of AI in agriculture, especially among younger and women farmers, while also identifying key gaps in language comprehension, contextual content, and integration with government schemes. It offers recommendations for improving digital inclusion and ensuring equitable access to smart agricultural support systems.
